A TIME TO CATCH UP….. August 7, 2009

Well Hello……

I know it has been a couple of weeks since I blogged…I blame that on the big move coming up! As my mother would say…I’ll get to it after the holidays! LOL….

I have been SUPER busy…I felt a little overwhelmed yesterday when I opened my planner and I have something on every single day of the week until I depart San Antonio….

I want to let everyone know that I will be in Connecticut on the 21st of August until the 9 September and will have time to see everyone! =)

Abby and I have quit the travel up ahead. As of next Thursday I will be homeless….just a little stress I mean it’s not that bad…=) No…I’m just kidding I will be staying with a friend of mine until I leave. They are packing my house on the 13 and 14th of this month and shipping on the 17th. I have to turn in my house on the 20th….I leave on the 21st TO GO HOME!!!! (YIPPY) then when I get back I will be here in San Antonio for about two weeks outprocessing and on the 27th our journey begins. We will drive from here to Seattle where we will get the ferry on 2 Oct. which takes us into Haines, Alaska we will cross the Canadian border and drive about another 700 miles into Anchorage where I will start my Eskimo life for the next three years. I will be working on Labor and Delivery something I’ve been trying to do for the last 3 years.

I am super excited, stressed and nervous all at the same time.

I’ve been looking for houses and looks like I will be getting a 3 bedroom condo…guests welcome! =)

Hopefully I will be on in the next few days to blog…before they take my computer! =)

Hope you enjoy the pictures of my Abby…she is doing well. She had surgery yesterday and got her little girl parts snip snip…and a microchip put in so I don’t loose her in my travels or to a nice fresh dinner for a moose in Alaska. She now weighs a whole 8.75 pounds!!! My little girl is getting big!!!

Everyone is asking if Abby if coming home with me in August….. YUP..YUP..YUP! We just got her a new stylish carrier. We will be home soon! Can’t wait to see everyone!

Tie those scrubs… July 8, 2009

So there I was working the late shift, 1230-9 pm. We had like 40 something patients today that came out of surgery. So…let me break that down for you…. That is 40 plus people crying in pain, throwing up, peeing in the gurney, so i’m sure you get the picture, if not…. it equals A LONG DAY!

Come 7 pm I was starving so I decided to go downstairs and get a salad. I was rushing back. I always take the stairs since I only work on the 2nd floor where my scrub pant got stuck on the back of my crocs and there it was……. undies to the public in the middle of the stairwell! Of course I’ve only been working in this hospital for 4 years so I know everyone…sure enough one of the girls I was deployed with was behind me.  All we could do is look at each other and laugh, of course after I pulled my pants back up! My scrubs were tied in the morning however, we have so much stuff we carry in our pockets guess they came loose and didn’t notice. So looks like tomorrow I will have to double knot.

4th of July… July 6, 2009

Happy 4th of July. I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend. Luckily I am still off today and will be doing a whole lot of nothing in this 115 degree heat. Just wanted to share how stylish Abby looked this weekend, my little sparkler.

A time to start something new… June 28, 2009

So…I decided to start something new. I have facebook, myspace, and e-mail, however living so far away from home and always moving, deploying, and doing something new I thought this would be the easiest way to keep everyone updated.  Nothing new here in TX just getting ready for the big move to Alaska in September/October time frame.  Buying Abby A LOT of sweaters  and winter clothes.

I will be coming home to Connecticut the 21st of August – 8th of September. I can’t wait to see everyone!
